Sudoc wins BlueTech Forum Award as Most Disruptive Innovation for 2023

Working at the intersection of chemistry and climate, Sudoc’s powerful, nature-inspired oxidation chemistry makes treatment processes better while reducing energy, water, and chemical use.

Sudoc, LLC (“Sudoc”), a chemical company committed to environmental sustainability, has won the BlueTech Forum 2023 Disrupt-O-Meter Award for the water technology with the most disruptive potential. Sudoc’s TAML® chemistry is a platform technology with remarkable oxidation capabilities that replace and eliminate toxic chemicals in a wide range of cleaning and environmental treatment applications. The BlueTech Forum award comes after Sudoc was named a Top Ten Start-Up to Watch by Chemical & Engineering News, a World Changing Idea by Fast Company, a Top-Ten Nature-Inspired Innovation by the Biomimicry Institute, and a Game Changer of Water Innovation by Imagine H2O. The series of awards demonstrates the momentum being built by the company and its ground-breaking sustainable chemistry.

Sixteen companies were selected to participate in the Innovation Showcase at the BlueTech Forum 2023 held in Edinburgh, Scotland from May 16 to 18.  Each company presented a pitch to the Forum and the winner was determined by votes from the more than 200 BlueTech Forum participants, representing entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders in the global water sector. Sudoc won the Disrupt-O-Meter award of most innovative solution for its water treatment brand NEAT and the application for applying its patented, nature-inspired chemistry to help pulp & paper companies process waste cardboard into tissue products using less energy, water, and chemical. If the pulp & paper industry adopted NEAT industry-wide, the world could save 120 billion gallons of water each year and reduce carbon emissions by 5.7 Million tons CO2 eq. That would be a big win for our planet.

Sudoc is working with companies to make chemical processes more efficient in terms of cost, energy, water, and chemical use. Sudoc is working with leaders in pulp & paper to bring NEAT to operational scale.

A Founder and the CEO of Sudoc, Roger Berry, stated “It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by the BlueTech Forum and included among a prestigious group of companies contributing to a sustainable future. Helping pulp & paper companies generate more value out of recycled cardboard is good for their revenue, but also a big step for the circular economy where waste can be turned into value. Helping pulp & paper is step one for NEAT products, and this sustainable chemistry can ultimate help industry and utilities remove a wide range of micro-pollutants from our water.”

Founder and CEO of BlueTech Research and host of the BlueTech Forum, Paul O’Callaghan stated “Congratulations to the team at Sudoc. The go-to-market strategy Sudoc is pursuing is very much in line with Innovation with Impact. Sudoc is taking a systematic approach to deploy the TAML catalyst where you can identify clear value creation and impact through reductions in energy and chemical usage. Thank you for being with us at BlueTech Forum 2023 and contributing in such a positive way and bringing your trademark enthusiasm and positive energy."

About Sudoc, LLC

Sudoc exists at the intersection of chemistry and climate change. Born from a breakthrough in science, our patented catalysts developed at Carnegie Mellon University’s Institute for Green Science, makes oxidation reactions exponentially more efficient and therefore more capable to oxidize a wide variety of compounds. TAML®️ catalysts yield faster, dramatically more active, yet controllable catalytic processes that have game-changing possibilities. Our first brand, Dot -- Dilute Oxidation Technology®️ -- uses this chemistry to address a series of difficult cleaning problems beginning with mold stains. Sudoc’s brand, NEAT – a New Environmental Approach to Treatment—provides chemical solutions to improve treatment processes in water. To learn more, visit www.sudoc.com.
