Ben Barnhart is part of the research and development department at SUDOC and works on the scale up of the synthesis of SUDOC’s library of catalysts. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016. He worked for 5 years at a CMO where he learned a lot about large scale chemical processes.

Ben joined SUDOC in September of 2021 and made an immediate impact on the production of the NT7 catalyst.  Ben strives to make processes as efficient as they can be to reduce waste and increase yields to uphold SUDOC’s mission of putting chemistry in balance with nature.
